charlotte edey is a london based illustrator and designer specialising in hand-drawn monochrome illustration. subtly suggestive, her work expresses detailed complexity in linear simplicity. exploring fluidity, soft femininity, and surreal landscapes, the infinity suggested by the sphere is a frequently fitting capsule for each idea; creating a gradual universe of microworlds.

her 2016 ceramics collection has been designed and made with love in england. the illustrations are hand decorated onto each staffordshire fine bone china plate, tea cup and tea pot before firing. the designs are then finished with hand painted features in 22 carat gold.

the ceramics collection was launched at the prestigious arnolfini, centre for contemporary arts in bristol, in june 2015.

since then it has also been exhibited at the london design festival and featured in country & townhouse as design "one to watch" in september 2015.
