about the artist

james brown is an illustrator and print maker based in east london. james' distinctive illustrative style combined with his skill as a linocut and screen printer, results in a striking portfolio of prints. much of his work has a heavy typographical influence, and with each piece being hand printed by james, every print is unique.

about the artwork

luke howard "the father of meteorology" devised this cloud classification system in 1803. he used latin to name the main types of clouds and their subdivisions. this screen print is adapted from an illustration from 'a world of information' by james brown and richard platt published by walker books, 2016.

the print is an open edition screen print available in one size 297 x 420 mm (a3). it is available to purchase either unframed or framed in a black or white solid wood frame with acrylic (safety) glass.
