artist's bio

having studied graphic arts in her native vienna, as well as new york, boston, san francisco and london, sylvia moritz has developed a fascination of urban environments. observations of these surroundings play a vital role in shaping the direction of her practice.

sylvia's meticulous etchings creatively document the unpredictable nature of urban expansion, whilst underpinning the incomprehensible detail of cityscapes. 

about the artwork

sylvia’s ‘blockprints’ series is inspired by children’s play blocks. they are a charming representation of our colourful cities. this is a high-quality print on 240gsm munken paper. the artwork is 29.7 x 42 cm (A3) and is sold framed in a slim black aluminum frame, measuring 30.7 x 43 cm.
