the artist

Sarah is a local Hackney based artist inspired by her walks around the Hackney and Walthamstow Marshes. Her paintings document paths taken and colours emerging over the changing seasons. Balancing fine painterly detail with loose gestural mark-making, Sarah enjoys exaggerating her colour palette and infusing her source images with vibrancy and energy - bringing a fresh approach to contemporary landscape painting.

the story

Fresh from the studio, this playful new series marks Sarah’s move to a smaller scale after a period of large-scale painting. Embracing the quirks and constraints of working on a miniature-scale, Sarah leaned into speed and spontaneity - resisting the urge to overwork. The result is a collection of dinky yet expressive paintings that reflect autumn’s shifting tones through blurred brushstrokes and a joyful, vibrant palette. Each piece captures a fleeting, intimate moment of the season, radiating a sense of pure happiness.

We undertake to dispatch the artwork within 3 days of placing the order. There is an additional packaging & postage charge of £11 for the framed painting. The artwork is free to pick-up from our Clapton Gallery.
