the artist

gavin dobson is a london based illustrator. initially having trained in fine art at middlesex university, his artwork is inspired by a huge love of graphic novels and american comic books, in particular of the 1980s.

the story

‘when i think of walthamstow, i think of the grey hound track. i went to the iconic walthamstow stadium just before it sadly closed down. i felt like it was such a historical piece of the community. i knew i wanted to create a nod to this iconic piece of history. i opted for a simple naive ink drawing 'fast dog' which i then created as a limited-edition screen print.

the artwork

this is a limited edition of 100 screen print, printed on southbank smooth paper 310 gsm measuring 50 x 70 cm. it is sold either unframed or framed in a contemporary slimline aluminium frame measuring 51 x 71 cm. 

delivery

we undertake to dispatch the artwork within 3 working days of receiving the order. there is a postage and packaging cost of £12 for the unframed artwork and £20 for the framed artwork.
