about the artist

johanna is a London based artist who explores contemporary portraiture and the female gaze. her large scale original works are created by pouring layers of diluted oil paint on a flat canvas in a series of translucent and fluid layers, rarely using a paintbrush. In this way the process is spontaneous and unpredictable - holding tension between the controlled and the uncontrolled, representation and abstraction.

this is a limited edition of 20 print on heavyweight canson rag paper. it measures 30 x 40 cm and is framed in a slim oak veneer aluminium frame.
