the artist

Sarah is a local Hackney based artist inspired by her walks around the Hackney and Walthamstow Marshes. Her paintings document paths taken and colours emerging over the changing seasons. Balancing fine painterly detail with loose gestural mark-making, Sarah enjoys exaggerating her colour palette and infusing her source images with vibrancy and energy - bringing a fresh approach to contemporary landscape painting.

the story

Pink Landscape is a delicate and dreamlike watercolor piece on handmade paper that captures a gentle, half-remembered corner of the Marshes just off Spring Hill Path. Soft mauves wash across the scene, while intentional absences of colour create a sense of movement and light, allowing the quiet to shimmer through.

We undertake to dispatch the artwork within 3 days of placing the order. There is an additional packaging & postage charge of £6 for the framed painting. The artwork is free to pick-up from our Clapton Gallery.
