the artist

Sarah is a local Hackney based artist inspired by her walks around the Hackney and Walthamstow Marshes. Her paintings document paths taken and colours emerging over the changing seasons. Balancing fine painterly detail with loose gestural mark-making, Sarah enjoys exaggerating her colour palette and infusing her source images with vibrancy and energy - bringing a fresh approach to contemporary landscape painting.

the story

 As Sarah stepped out of Millfields Park, she was suddenly stopped in her tracks. At the end of Cotesbach Road, just beyond a back garden wall, a burst of colour caught her eye, an unexpected explosion of life nestled in the heart of Hackney. This compact composition captures the vivid beauty of urban foliage in full bloom. Corals, magentas and lime green leaves tumble together in joyful disarray, overlapping and intertwining in a vibrant celebration of nature’s resilience in the city.

the artwork

This is a limited edition of 50 hand-finished prints, unframed size 29.7 x 42 cm. Framed in a slimline aluminium frame with natural oak veneer, framed size 31 x 43 cm.

delivery

We undertake to dispatch the artwork within 3 days of placing the order. There is an additional packaging & postage charge of £1 for the unframed print, and £15 for the framed print. The artwork is free to pick-up from our Clapton Gallery.
