the artist

Ellie Edwards is a Walthamstow-based printmaker whose joyful work celebrates the pleasures of food and shared experiences. With a background in food writing, she translates her love of local bakeries, cafés, and markets into vibrant hand-carved lino prints. Each piece captures a fleeting, sensory moment – the texture of pastry, the colour of seasonal produce, the warmth of a meal shared. Created by hand in her kitchen, her prints embrace imperfection and individuality, turning the everyday act of eating into a reflection on community, memory, and belonging.

the story

Ellie spends her weekends planning new recipes, making lists of ingredients and the best places to find them. For fruit and vegetables, it’s always Bora & Sons on Orford Road – their citrus selection changing with the seasons – big Amalfi lemons in summer, blood oranges in winter, leafy clementines at Christmas. Citrus Granita is a nod to those bright summer months, when all she craves are grilled peach and burrata salads, a lemony white negroni, and orange granita – a celebration of flavour, ritual, and life in colour.

This is an original lino print on paper, framed mounted in a white solid wood frame measuring 30.5 x 39.5 cm.
