Ellie Edwards is a Walthamstow-based printmaker whose joyful work celebrates the pleasures of food and shared experiences. With a background in food writing, she translates her love of local bakeries, cafés, and markets into vibrant hand-carved lino prints. Each piece captures a fleeting, sensory moment – the texture of pastry, the colour of seasonal produce, the warmth of a meal shared. Created by hand in her kitchen, her prints embrace imperfection and individuality, turning the everyday act of eating into a reflection on community, memory, and belonging.

the story

Ellie spends her weekends planning new recipes, making lists of ingredients and where to find them. For fruit and vegetables, it’s always Bora & Sons on Orford Road – their vivid tomato display outside the shop like a sweet shop window of reds, yellows, and oranges. These floral tomatoes look almost too beautiful to eat, yet she turns them into a simple ‘Pan Con Tomate’ with garlic, olive oil, and sea salt. A celebration of everyday ritual and vibrant flavour – life savoured in colour.
