Matt’s work explores mis-remembered memories of places he’s visited - not through literal representation, but by capturing the emotion of being there. Though abstract, his “memory scapes” often spark personal recollections in those who view them.

His latest collection is his most personal yet. Originally inspired by Greek myths, it evolved into something deeper following the birth of his son, Atlas, and his subsequent heart surgery. Each print became a landscape of the heart - a visual story whispered by the crib, filled with dreams, imagined adventures, and the quiet strength of a father’s love.

Matt says: “‘When you wake up, when you wake up, you’ll find me.’ That lyric, from The Horrors’ ‘Still Life’, felt like a vow. It's carried on the song’s vast, layered soundscape, which washes over you like a warm, protective tide. It perfectly reflects the feeling behind the title and mood of ‘Amber Tide’ - a sense of calm, presence, and quiet reassurance.”

This is a limited edition of 100 fine art prints available to purchase either unframed (14.8 x 21 cm) or framed mounted in a contemporary slimline aluminium frame with off-white oak veneer measuring 25 x 31 cm.

There is an additional packaging & postage charge of £5 for unframed and £8 for framed artwork. The artwork is free to collect from our Walthamstow or Clapton galleries.
