about the artist
Matt’s work explores mis-remembered memories of places he’s visited - not through literal representation, but by capturing the emotion of being there. Though abstract, his “memory scapes” often spark personal recollections in those who view them.
His latest collection is his most personal yet. Originally inspired by Greek myths, it evolved into something deeper following the birth of his son, Atlas, and his subsequent heart surgery. Each print became a landscape of the heart - a visual story whispered by the crib, filled with dreams, imagined adventures, and the quiet strength of a father’s love.
the sound
Matt says: “The lyric "Life makes echoes / If you seen them" perfectly describes the state of a parent on vigil, searching for every vital sign. The song’s manic, repetitive rhythm became the sound of my own inner fight, a frantic pulse that mirrored my looping thoughts and fears during those long hours.”
