the artist

Sarah is a local Hackney based artist inspired by her walks around the Hackney and Walthamstow Marshes. Her paintings document paths taken and colours emerging over the changing seasons. Balancing fine painterly detail with loose gestural mark-making, Sarah enjoys exaggerating her colour palette and infusing her source images with vibrancy and energy - bringing a fresh approach to contemporary landscape painting.

the story

At first glance, it’s just a hedge - something you might pass without thinking, maybe on the way to work or during a walk after rain. But in 'Fuchsia Cluster II', that everyday hedge becomes something altogether different - vibrant, alive, impossible to ignore.

This limited edition print, based on its larger-than-life original painting, has a confident presence. It hums with energy, turning soft pastel tones into something bold and expressive. Blush pinks and cool greens twist and fold into each other, creating a rhythmic, almost musical flow of movement. Look a little closer and you’ll notice a subtle shimmer from the mint-green silver-leaf details, adding a fresh lift and bringing this familiar garden subject into sharper focus.
