johanna is a London based artist who explores contemporary portraiture and the female gaze. her large scale original works are created by pouring layers of diluted oil paint on a flat canvas in a series of translucent and fluid layers, rarely using a paintbrush.

about the artwork

“sindhu” is a limited edition of 50 giclee print inspired by the children johanna met whilst working overseas. in this piece she captures a fleeting moment of un-stylised, authentic innocence and beauty.

The print measures 53 x 76 cm (image size 47 x 70 cm). it is framed in a white wood grain box frame.
