the artist

Sarah is a local Hackney based artist inspired by her walks around the Hackney and Walthamstow Marshes. Her paintings document paths taken and colours emerging over the changing seasons. Balancing fine painterly detail with loose gestural mark-making, Sarah enjoys exaggerating her colour palette and infusing her source images with vibrancy and energy - bringing a fresh approach to contemporary landscape painting.

the story

Hackney Marshes Meadow III captures the raw vitality of untamed land. Painted from the old golf course, the marshy ground squelches underfoot, alive with growth and untouched by human order. Nature rises in abundance and is thick, wild and unfiltered. Overhead, clouds twist and gather, forming fleeting shapes that animate the sky with quiet drama.

We undertake to dispatch the artwork within 3 days of placing the order. There is an additional packaging & postage charge of £6 for the framed painting. The artwork is free to pick-up from our Clapton Gallery.
