Tam Chianta’s abstract paintings capture the shifting moods of sky, water, and light. Living beside Lloyd Park in Walthamstow, she draws inspiration from daily walks and the transient beauty of nature. Working in rhythmic brushstrokes and rich layers of colour, she explores balance and impermanence – how form and feeling evolve moment to moment. Her works radiate vibrancy and movement, reflecting both the physical environment and the emotional landscapes it mirrors. Each painting becomes a meditation on flow, community, and change.

the story

‘Every Hue Unfolds’ captures a vibrant explosion of colour and pattern. Colour is central to Tam’s creative process – she mixes primary hues directly on the canvas, allowing new combinations to emerge organically. Inspired by the shifting patterns on the surface of water, the work reflects her daily walks through Lloyd Park, where she often pauses on a bridge to watch the pond’s rippling reflections and the ducks gliding by.
